The fairy-tale story about Cinderella has been a must-see-tradition for so many each Christmas from the early 70´s Czech/East German version. This year a modernised 2021 Norwegian production is waiting for its audience at the Movie Theatres and we couldn’t be more exited.

Watching the original Tre Nøtter til Askepott is for many of us a Christmas morning tradition, how did blockbuster remake become a reality?
Cecilie Mosli
It’s been a process that has taken years, but the producers have been marvelous in making it possible financially. I have had the privilege to work with so many talented people all the way, from the script writers to the art designers and the wonderful cast

And how is your relationship to Tre Nøtter til Askepott before signing up for this production?
Cecilie Mosli
As the rest of Norway it has been a tradition for Christmas. But growing up in the seventies, it was rare to see a heroine with so much courage and power. So the film has been inspiring to me as a girl growing up

The Rein Love signet ring takes part in the movie, how did this happen?
Cecilie Mosli
I saw this ring in the store in Tromsø, and found it so beautiful and powerful. My mom gave it to me to my 45th birthday, and it is important for me in so many ways. I feel I carry north Norwegian power when I use it. We looked at a lot of rings for the prince, but they all felt a bit weak and wrong. We had already decided that the royal symbol in this film was reindeer. I put my hand on the desk and saw my own ring and knew. And the production designer just loved it immediately

And finally; What´s your expectations before the launch?
Cecilie Mosli
I know that critics might be tough, but I focus on my pride in making a quality fairytale with courage humanity and great acting and visuals. And I hope that it may encourage people to be true to themself and care about each other and the nature. And dream a little.
